Mike Kerr

As Vice President and co-founder of DKA, Michael (Mike) Kerr is responsible for proposal management and oversight of projects undertaken by the company. Mike coordinates with clients, as well as company technical and costing department personnel, to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements for all proposal efforts.

Prior to starting DKA, Mike spent 20 years in the service of our country in the United States Army, where he served in Military Intelligence. During his 20 year tenure in the military, he held numerous positions, all of which required a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Mike’s final duty position in the Army was for eight years as the Chief Instructor at the US Army Intelligence School, Fort Devens, Massachusetts. In this position, he was responsible for supervision and administration of training for military students in four diverse, highly complex courses of instruction. He was in charge of design, writing, editing, publishing, updating and monitoring course instructional materials, both classified and unclassified. During this time, he was also the vault custodian, with responsibility for over 3,000 classified documents, with a perfect security record. Prior duty assignments included US Army Field Station Korea, duty at the National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Maryland and his first assignment, which was at the 7th Radio Research Field Station in Thailand.

Mike attended numerous instructional/advancement courses while in the army to include: 1) Electronic Warfare/Cryptologic Supervisor Course; 2) Advanced Morse Identification/Signal Search Development Course; 3) Instructor Supervisor Workshop; 4) Apprentice Instructor Training Program; 5) Basic Instructor Training Course; and 6) OPM Combined Effective English Workshop/Writing Seminar. Mike is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a graduate of Elder High School, one of the most prestigious schools in the area.
