HOW IT WORKS

When DKA partners up with a new client, we generally take the following steps:

Evaluation
The client's needs are defined, enabling DKA to seek out the contract opportunities which best match the client's requirements in terms of locations, scope, dollar value and other factors.

Identification
Once a client's needs are defined, we search through literally thousands of current and upcoming opportunities to find "attractive opportunities" (defined as being winnable as well as profitable). If the client is interested in an opportunity, we discuss all the pro's and con's, including potential issues which may arise down the road.

Proposal Preparation/Submission
When DKA agrees to work with a client to pursue a project, we immediately end any communication with all other companies who could be potential competitors. The proposal preparation process generally demands the most time and attention of all the steps, and during this period we work closely with the client to ensure that the proposal writing and development will result in the best possible submittal to the government. Once we have a complete draft of the written volumes and a complete breakdown of costing and staffing, it's sent to the client for review and input.

In the period between proposal submission and a contract award, we also assist with Clarification Requests (CR's), Deficiency Reports (DR's), and BAFO (Best And Final Offer).

Contract Administration Support
After a client is awarded a contract, DKA will assist in a wide range of activities, from start-up plans to wage determination modications. With every contract we help a client win, our support remains throughout.

WHO WE ARE

DKA is a Florida-based proposal-writing, cost-estimating, and government contracting consulting firm specializing in helping companies identify, win and operate government contracts.

Since 1995, we have provided assistance in proposal writing, complete costing, staffing, and technical proposal preparation, as well as in identifying all opportunities made available by the government.

With regard to proposal writing, DKA prepares technical proposals, management proposals, quality control plans, contingency plans, etc. Our cost-estimating services include complete cost breakdown of each opportunity, staffing breakdowns, materials/equipment/supplies, holidays/benefits/insurance, etc.

Once the proposal-writing and cost-estimating is done and our clients are awarded contracts, another phase of our work begins. In certain circumstances, our clients will ask us to prepare plans and documents to be presented to the government prior to starting up their new contract. Also, we are often asked to assist in identifying qualified key management personal and/or local subcontractors.

Some of the other consulting efforts we provide to our clients in the post-award phase involve such things as preparing proposals for modifications to contracts we’ve helped companies win. These proposals for modifications are commonly prepared in response to changes to DOL wages or changes to specific performance requirements of the contract, but anytime a contract must be adjusted, we will prepare that proposal to the administering agency to ensure the contract continues to run, not only as smoothly and profitably as possible, but also at as high a revenue level as possible.
